DESCRIPTION:An annual family-friendly favorite\, the Christmas Eve Torchlight Parade can be viewed from the Chalet or the base of the Flying Dutchman. Watch our Snow School instructors and Ski Patrolers descend the Flying Dutchman carrying brightly lit torches in a beautiful procession of lights. Santa even joins in the Parade (you didn’t know he could ski\, did you?).  \nJoin us for hot chocolate and cookies in the Chalet from 5:00-6:00pm. The Parade begins at 6:00 pm sharp. Tobin Spring will be playing playing acoustic guitar from 5:30 to 6:30pm.  \nNo Night Operations on Christmas Eve.

It will be a “best ball” tournament meaning both players throw one at a time and move to the position of the best throw between the two players. Each team will play 11 holes.\n\nWhere: Irwin Memorial Public School (1011 Dwight Beach Road\, Dwight)\nWho: Teams of two (parent/guardian and child)\nWhen: Sunday\, October 27 at 3pm\nCost: $20 per pair of disc golfers (parent and child). Starting in Penninsula Lake\, teams paddle the North branch of the Muskoka River through Port Sydney to Bracebridge. Then they paddle upstream on the South branch of the Muskoka River to Baysville\, finishing they race on Penninsula lake. Teams paddle two rivers systems\, three lakes and 20 portages for a total of 133km in less than 24 hours. The Classic is completely self-supported. That’s right\, no outside assistance\, no support teams and no re-supplies. DESCRIPTION:The Coureur des Bois is back! The River X Crew first hosted this expansion course to the Muskoka River X Classic in 2015 and 2016.  After a 2-year absence and at the request of our Alumni we will again host this epic race. Building on the heritage of the canal expeditions of the 1800’s\, the Coureur des Bois will challenge even the most experienced expedition and marathon paddlers. Teams travel along the heritage routes of the Algonquin Peoples and early explorers as they traverse Algonquin Park east to west from Whitney to Oxtongue Lake. Using only the supplies that were carried teams will overnight in a wilderness camping setting at Oxtongue before merging with the Muskoka River X Classic B-Side for a second full day of paddle racing. 223km. 39 portages. 48 hours or less. No resupplies. No support. Navigation with only map and compass. Flat-water. Up-river. Down-river. Marshlands and swamp. A true Canadian back-country expedition race. Bring your own mountain bike and helmet to participate. Bike rentals are available if you book ahead. \nMuskoka’s rolling hills and rugged trails are your playground for mountain and road bike adventures. DESCRIPTION:Veda Yoga is proud to present FREE yoga every Sunday at the Town Docks in Huntsville!  \nStarting this Sunday\, August 11th until and including Thanksgiving Monday. \nThe beautiful Huntsville docks are the perfect setting for a gentle yoga and meditation practice. This is offered free to you by Veda Yoga – just bring a mat and a blanket. No need to have ever practiced yoga or be a human pretzel. DESCRIPTION:Join us for this weekly\, sunset paddle meeting for like minded local paddlers\, outdoor and healthy living enthusiasts. \nMeet Nate Smith (and other Algonquin Outfitters staffers) at the Algonquin Outfitters downtown Huntsville store (by 6:00pm) before we head down to launch from the AO dock. \nBring you own canoe\, kayak or paddleboard\, for our relaxed cruise on the different scenic routes through town! OR If you need a board or boat AO will happily offer discounted ($20) rentals for the evening ride. \nNo experience required – teaching of skill\, passing of wisdom and having of fun will be had! An amazing opportunity to experience and capture Huntsville’s majestic Muskoka river and surrounding lakes on your phone/camera(dry pocket or ziplock bag recommended!)
