Venues have closed and there’s a very good chance that musicians could lose the whole summer. DESCRIPTION:Hunters Bay Radio is partnering with Lake Of Bays Brewery to bring you a series of Virtual Concerts. \nIt’s a fact that during this crisis the entertainment world has been hit hard and local music is no exception. Venues have closed and there’s a very good chance that musicians could lose the whole summer. While the government works on coming up with a solution\, we want to help the people who keep us entertained. \nWe’ve developed a series of performances live streamed from their homes to your computer via Facebook Live. This won’t be on our FM feed\, but will be personal and interactive. DESCRIPTION:Join Andrea Bell Stuart and Mary Spring every Monday morning at 10am for some fun and easy activities exploring drawing and creative writing. Designed for you people ages 6-14\, the group will work over Zoom for 20 minutes to learn different drawing techniques and will be encouraged to write about their observations and drawings. There will be a follow up session every Friday to share the creations! \nThis is a FREE program. Space is limited. DESCRIPTION:Join Sandy Inkster every morning at 8:30am for AWAKE: a daily mindfulness session on Zoom. \nSo much is different right now\, with the loss of routine\, the loss of being with friends\, and the loss of going anywhere we want to…without masks and gloves.\nFrom these changes\, each human being has a different interpretation and is influenced by many different factors.\nUsing mindful movement as part of the mindfulness sessions\, children will awaken to noticing what is present; in their bodies\, their minds\, their emotions and in the surrounding environment.\nBreathing games will awaken awareness to increasing our focus or increasing our energy.\n“Awake” in the morning with Sandy\, starting a day with mindfulness practice to achieve calm\, strengthen mental well-being\, inspire creativity and build resilience.
