Natalie MacMaster is a member of the order of Canada and has toured with the Chieftains\, Faith Hill\, Carlos Santana and Alison Krauss\, and has recorded with Yo-Yo Ma. Donnell Leahy is a multiple Juno Award winning musician\, part of the Leahy Family\, who has played with likes of Shania Twain amongst others. Together they bring unparalleled musicianship\, down-home humour\, and a whole gaggle of their kids. It’s no surprise they hold the Festival record for most presented artist.

SUMMARY:Baysville Arts and Crafts Festval
DESCRIPTION:Stop by the Baysville Arts and Crafts Festival where one can meander through the paths amongst the beautiful flower gardens visiting each unique vendor. This two day outdoor event features 74 original artisans from all over Ontario. Feature items include jewelry (costume\, silver and gold)\, women’s fashions and accessories\, wood and metal products\, gourmet foods\, toys\, leather goods\, paintings\, home accessories\, fiber and glass and more. The Baysville Anglican Church group will be on location barbecuing under the band shell. The Baysville Arts and Crafts festival which runs rain or shine provides the opportunity to shop all Canadian for wonderful gifts for either yourself or that someone special. Come out for a nice relaxing day on Saturday August 10th or Sunday August 11th from 10am – 4pm. The park is easily accessed by boat or car. Admission is by donation with proceeds going to the Horticultural Society in Baysville who are responsible for the beautiful gardens you will see through out.

DESCRIPTION:LoveFest will be taking place Saturday August 10th from 7am – 8pm. \nThis is a street festival of artists\, vendors\, food\, drink\, live music\, families and fun – all in the name of LOVE. \n\nWhen Tara & Cait got married\, they closed down West Harvey Ave for their big day. There was live music\, lots of yummy food\, a great bar and an after dinner dance party on the street. The event was such a success and joy for them to organize\, that they decided to make it a annual event and open it up to the public. Thus\, LoveFest was born. This festival has become a place for artists to showcase their latest pieces\, performers to strut their stuff and culinary creators to share their latest tasty treats and brews. The intention is to be local-friendly and environmentally conscious\, while spreading the love of community\, our planet\, family and the arts.

DESCRIPTION:JUNO-nominated artist Royal Wood performs songs from his deeply personal eighth studio album Ever After the Farewell\, released in 2018. \nLife has a way of knocking on our door on the days we least expect it. For singer songwriter Royal Wood\, life knocked pretty damn hard. For in the same year that he lost his father to illness\, he also fell in love and got married. As an artist\, Royal channeled these polar opposite emotions into his new album Ever After The Farewell. Recorded in London\, UK\, with Jamie Scott (known for his work with renowned artists like Rag’n Bone Man\, Michael Kiwanuka\, Niall Horan and Ed Sheeran)\, Royal’s album is not only deeply inspired by both loss and love\, but is an ode to the classic styles of both Tin Pan Alley and Laurel Canyon. To capture the rawest possible sound\, most of the songs on the album were recorded the day they were written\, with Royal playing the majority of the instruments.

DESCRIPTION:His new album 2019 Juno Award winning Miles to Go\, in which James records nine new covers of his favourite artists (Howlin’ Wolf\, Muddy Waters\, Blind Willie Johnson\, Blind Lemon Jefferson\, Little Willie John\, Robert Johnson\, etc.) and adds two originals\, “I Will Remain” and “40 Light Years.” “Blues has always been a pass-it-forward kind of thing\,” says James. “It’s also surprisingly hard to write. You have to be careful how modern you get in your phrasing. Certain writers can write a song that sounds like it was done 40 years ago\, but it’s deceptively hard.” To be a blues musician is to always have a dialogue with the past.  As with much blues music\, it’s the performances on the original versions rather than the actual song that drew James to them.

DESCRIPTION:The rugged landscape of the Canadian Shield has inspired artists for over a century\, and this is the place we call home.  You are invited to discover for yourself how the creative tradition continues. \nMeet the makers and experience our studios and workshops.  You’ll find nature-inspired pottery\, jewellery\, fiber art\, sculpture\, paintings in many styles and media\, and functional art crafted from local wood. This year you’ll meet 17 artists at 6 locations\, all within a short drive of each other. \nLimberlost Road is close to Algonquin Park in the Huntsville/Lake of Bays area of Muskoka Ontario\, and winds through forest\, rock and wetlands rich in wildlife and natural beauty.  We welcome guests to our studios at other times in addition to our Tour weekend.
