DESCRIPTION:Intimate & Interactive with Alexis Taylor \nAlexis Taylor is a Canadian singer and songwriter who was born and raised in the small town of Huntsville\, Ontario. From a young age she showed a great interest in music\, displaying proficiency in guitar\, vocals\, and strong capabilities in the area of songwriting.  \nAt the age of 12\, she wrote her first song and learned how to play guitar shortly after. Throughout her highschool years she performed in many local venues including the Huntsville Algonquin Theatre\, The Gravenhurst Opera House\, Hidden Valley Resort\, and Deerhurst Resort. She competed as a finalist in Muskoka Star Quest and was a part of the first annual Muskoka Song Night. By then\, music had become an inseparable part of Alexis’ life.  \nAfter highschool\, she continued to build upon her musical skills through studies at Berklee College of Music and performed at various venues and radio stations throughout North America. It was during a visit to Nashville\, Tennessee in 2012 that Alexis fell in love with the city and decided to pursue music full time.  \nSummer 2016 saw the launch of Alexis’ international career with a tour throughout Scandinavia opening for renowned singer/songwriter Doug Seegers. “Being able to open for someone as talented and genuine as Doug Seegers along with his incredibly gifted band has been an experience of a lifetime\,” she says. “The opportunity truly allowed me to grow as a performer\, and I am so grateful that Doug took me under his wing.”  \nCurrently making frequent trips to Nashville\, Tennessee\, Alexis is continuing to follow her dream of becoming a musician; performing at a variety of venues in North America\, and working on new music she hopes to share in the near future.

DESCRIPTION:Collectively Diana Braithwaite and Chris Whiteley have been awarded nine Maple Blues awards and have received six Juno nominations. Braithwaite was dubbed a “national treasure” by Bluz FM radio host Danny Marks. Toronto-born and raised\, Braithwaite’s ancestors traveled to Canada from Virginia via the Underground Railroad\, a personal history that influences her musical collaborations. Appearances at shows in North America\, the UK\, and Europe have contributed to her reputation as a world-class blues singer. Kansas-born Whiteley moved with his family to Toronto\, where as a teenage performer he met blues legend Lonnie Johnson\, who became his mentor. DESCRIPTION:LoveFest will be taking place Saturday August 18th\, 2018 from 11am – 8pm. \nThis is a street festival of artists\, vendors\, food\, drink\, live music\, families and fun – all in the name of LOVE. \n\nWhen Tara & Cait got married\, they closed down West Harvey Ave for their big day. There was live music\, lots of yummy food\, a great bar and an after dinner dance party on the street. The event was such a success and joy for them to organize\, that they decided to make it a annual event and open it up to the public. Thus\, LoveFest was born. This festival has become a place for artists to showcase their latest pieces\, performers to strut their stuff and culinary creators to share their latest tasty treats and brews. The intention is to be local-friendly and environmentally conscious\, while spreading the love of community\, our planet\, family and the arts.

SUMMARY:Etwell Concert Series - Tobin Spring and the Muskoka Blues Connection
DESCRIPTION:Huntsville-based bluesman Tobin Spring has been making waves in Muskoka since he picked up the guitar at age twelve. This triple-threat guitar player\, singer\, and songwriter makes for a high energy and soulful live show.  Tobin is quickly establishing himself as a blues force to be reckoned with. \nTobin has opened for a variety of artists including Big Sugar\, Blue Rodeo\, Kim Mitchell\, Serena Ryder\, and April Wine. He’s had four of his songs put into heavy rotation on Moose FM stations across Ontario (“It’s Only Life”\, “September”\, “Higher Height” and “Both Sides Of The Coin”) He also wrote and produced the theme song for the 2010 Ontario Winter Games entitled “Be Here”. \nIn 2005 Tobin created the highly successful Northern Blues Review. There has since been eleven different incarnations of the show and each time it has featured some of Ontario’s finest blues musicians. Tobin runs a music school is Huntsville and performs regularly as the lead singer/guitarist for his band Laganza. His thoroughly anticipated album ‘Collective Blues Agreement\,’ which features award-winning Canadian blues artists\, is his first effort outside of the band. \nTickets are by donation – Suggested Donation $20

After a span as a journey man session musician throughout the seventies\, Danny settled in to the club scene\, establishing a cult following as a genre bender in music and humor. \nA house band gig at Toronto’s famed Albert’s Hall led him to host his own nation-wide TV show\, Stormy Monday. Through the eighties\, Danny starred in CBC radio’s hit series the Hum Line. \nMost recently\, Danny Marks recorded two original music albums\, Guitarchaeology and True\, before paying tribute to Toronto’s R&B roots with Big Town Boy in 2005. \nTickets are by donation – Suggested Donation $20
