SUMMARY:Gourmet Marche Snowshoe Tour
DESCRIPTION:Gourmet Marché Snowshoe Tour is our annual event in support of the Huntsville Hospital Foundation. The event will take place Saturday\, February 24th\, 2024 from 1pm to 5pm at Tawingo Outdoor Centre (1844 Ravenscliffe road\, Huntsville\, ON). Guests can purchase tickets online through our website. Tickets are limited\, and we expect to sell out. It is a family-friendly event in which participants snowshoe along a marked trail and visit five food stations\, hosted by local chefs! Food will be served along the trail from 2pm to 5pm. Our winter tubing hill will also be open throughout the day\, and there will be bonfires where participants can warm up and socialize around a fire. Public washrooms are available in our heated lodge— Laughton Hall. We will be offering a variety of exciting activities for families and friends to enjoy\, including snowshoeing\, tubing/sledding\, hiking\, cross-country skiing\, a bonfire\, and more. This is a fantastic opportunity for families to come together and enjoy the beautiful winter scenery in Muskoka. DESCRIPTION:Come for the Sun or Come for the Run – Come for the Snow or Come for the GO! \n\nMuskoka Snowshoe Race\nMarch 1\, 2020\nCamp Tawingo (1844 Ravenscliffe Road\, Huntsville)\nRace Distances: 5km\, 10km and Fun Races for kids!\n\nThe Muskoka Snowshoe Races are a series of athletic and recreational snowshoe races in conjunction with\, sanctioned by and supported by Snowshoe Canada. Marked and groomed snowshoe trails of 5 and 10 kilometres stretch across Muskoka lake and forest. Complete the course competitively or recreationally. Prizes for Speed and Random Draw Prizes as well. This is the final event in the 2020 series of events sanctioned by Snowshoe Canada.\nREGISTER HERE \nProceeds from Muskoka Snowshoe Races go towards the Huntsville Hospital Foundation.  \n\nGourmet Marché\nFebruary 29\, 2020 from 3 – 5pm\nCamp Tawingo (1844 Ravenscliffe Road\, Huntsville) \nOur Program\nThere are 5 food stations located along our trail system. Each station is hosted by a local chef. Each chef offers a slightly different menu on an international theme. Locations are marked on the map you receive when you sign in. Participants can snowshoe in any order or direction; visit the food stations; visit extra “Booty Basket” locations (marked on the map) for snacks and prizes.  \nDesserts and Finale (Prizes!!)\nDesserts are ready to sample starting at 5:00 PM; prize give-away starts at approximately 5:30 pm. \nEvening Program\nFor those who wish to remain at Tawingo into the evening\, the remaining trail menu is set out for further sampling in the Red Room at around 6:00 PM\, a film festival at 7:00 PM and a campfire snack is served at 8:00 PM.  \nThe Tawingo International Gourmet Marché is excited to take its place amongst the nation-wide smorgasbord of outdoor gourmet events. Snowshoes and an appetite for palate-pleasing offerings by award-winning Muskoka chefs are all that you need. \nParticipants can experience all of the elements of what makes living in Muskoka great: the company of friends\, the beauty of our natural setting\, and delicious food produced in a unique way on an international theme! \nGourmands (that’s you) can snowshoe as much or as little as they like\, eat tasty international cuisine at up to five food stations along various signed routes\, join us for hot drinks/desserts at the finale\, qualify for prizes and enjoy an evening film festival.
