SUMMARY:Culture Days
DESCRIPTION:A National Celebration of Canadian Culture\nMillions of Canadians engage in thousands of free activities and performances hosted by artists\, cultural organizations and municipalities in communities across Canada. From Nunavut to New Brunswick\, and from British Columbia to Baffin Island – and all points in between – we share all the inspiration\, artistry\, creativity and expression that reflects the mosaic of Canadian culture. \nAs a leading national voice for an active and engaged cultural life\, we provide marketing and industry development resources that lead to greater cultural engagement. The Culture Days national awareness campaign culminates in a three-day celebration of the arts starting on the last Friday of September. \nCelebrate the 7th annual Culture Days Celebration this September 29 – October 1 throughout Huntsville!  \nEvery Culture Days weekend features thousands of free\, hands-on\, interactive activities where the public can discover the world of artists\, creators\, heritage experts\, architects\, curators\, designers and other creative professionals in their communities. \nWith thousands of activities promoted through culturedays.ca\, our digital channels\, and national media partnerships\, we drive a multi-level national awareness campaign designed to inspire and catalyze greater public arts participation in all Canadian communities. \nCulture Days is a collaborative initiative that welcomes public participation. Everyone has a part to play in Culture Days whether you’re already passionate about the arts or interested in discovering something new. \n\nEvents:\n\nWatercolour Through The Seasons with Brenda Turnour\nMake a Quille Pendant\, broach or magnet : Marion Remen\nKaren Piovaty : Oxtongue Craft Cabin\nHistorical Lecture and Demonstration of Wood-Canvas Canoes\nMake a Proddy Flower: Marion Remen\nDemonstration with Pam Carnochan\nArtist in Window: Marilyn Smith: Christmas Tyme\nRHYTHMANIA (Drumming circle)\nOpen House at Van Clieaf Ceramic Arts: Demonstration: Susan\nArtist in window; Heather Farrow; Antique Cellar\nWe love to sing\, lets all sing together!\nPaint and Take miniature painting workshop\nArtist in Window: Gillian Young: Christmas Tyme\nMusical Strings\nArtist in window\, Connie Kelso : The Hudson Hair Salon\nArt Workshop with Acrylic Paint on Yupo Paper : Linda Harti\nColour of Muskoka with Michael Woodside: Pharmasave\nBoardgames\, Boardgames\, Boardgames\nStroll down memory lane: Antique Cellar\nArtist in Window: Helena Renwick: Whimsical Bakery\nArtist in Window\, Joan Gemmil\, The Nutty Chocolatier\nOpen Studio : Ron Murdoch\nFiber Arts Demonstration: Marni Martin\nStudio Tour and Demonstration : Gerry Langtaigne\nArtist in Window: Marion Mathews: Up North Games\nAdd Your Brush Strokes to Canada 150 Painting\nDrop in Knit Along: Judy Ruan\, Brenda and Carolyn\nEnhancing your Photograph’s\nHuntsville Councillor on Fire\nHuntsville Councillor by a Dam Site\nHuntsville Councillor by a Lock\nHuntsville Historical Society Victorian Tea\nArtist in Window: Bev Clark\, Wooden Penny\nArtist in Window: Don Mackenzie: Algonquin Outfitters\nArtist in the window: Ken Biggs: Reflections of Muskoka\nArtist in the window: Gabrielle Anderson : The Great Vine\nArtist in the Window: Muskoka Jewellery Design: Carol Ferris\nArt Workshop with Acrylic Paint on Yupo Paper : Linda Harti\nLooking Glass – Digitizing the Past\nCrazy Train – Will Crush Your Problems\nAlgonquin Outfitters Paddle Art Auction / Contest\nArtist in Window: Muskoka Bicycle Pro Shop : Linda Harti\nSample a Taste of Muskoka : Totem Juice + Organic Café\nArtist in Window: Patricia Astley : Plum Loco\nArtist in the Window : Campus Crew: Patti Parker\nLearn and listen to the Bagpipes : Grant Peddie\nOpening Ceremony with music by: Briar Summers\nArtist in Window : Briar Summers\, The Topiary\nMuskoka Autumn Studio Tour presents Brian Markham-Woodturner\nHuntsville Deputy Mayor on Stage\nPyrography Display and Demonstration\nArtist/Window\, A Mystery:That Little Place by the Lights\nStill Growing\, Huntsville Art Society Members art show\nEvolution of the Print in Muskoka\, Janet Stahle\nSample Fresh Organic Greens: Totem Juice: 4 Season Greens\nFlag Raising Ceremony to Open Culture Days: Deputy Mayor\nZentangle & Handelas!\nCocktails and Canvas\nArtist : Soapstones Natural Skin Care\, Jarmila Zacal\nFinding your Family History\nHuntsville’s Sports Memorabilia Culture\nVisit Huntsville’s Pipe Man\nTake a Selfie with Tom Thomson\nGroup of Seven Outdoor Gallery\nThe Way We Were Heritage Huntsville\nTake a Selfie with Moosekokie\nOpen Studio\, Puppetry Demos & Hands On: Catherine Luce\nAutumn Serenade at All Saints’ Huntsville\, ON
