They’ll be playing a select group of local players in a charity game\, with proceeds being directed to support ongoing efforts to establish a year-round\, outdoor sports pad (ice surface\, basketball court) in Huntsville. \nThe Rotary Club of Huntsville is working with Platinum Event Sponsor Tulloch Engineering to create an evening of entertainment and fun for all ages. \nPlease note that to help with parking\, there will be a shuttle bus running from Bullock’s Independent Grocer to the Canada Summit Centre Saturday night. The bus will start at 6pm and loop between the two areas until 7:30pm. DESCRIPTION:The 2019 Subaru IRONMAN 70.3 Muskoka will again take place in the heart of Huntsville at the gorgeous Canada Summit Centre.  \nThe course features a 2km\, one-loop swim in the scenic Fairy Lake. The 90km out and back bike course will travel freshly paved roads through Baysville and beautiful countryside. The 21.1km run will take around 1800 participants through Historic Downtown Huntsville and finishing back at the gorgeous Canada Summit Centre.  \nFamilies\, participants\, spectators and volunteers will be in abundance this weekend to take in everything Muskoka has to offer hiking\, swimming\, fishing\, trying the local restaurants and breweries\, checking out the wildlife\, visiting a spa\, and enjoying  many of the local events and festivals that are taking place.

DESCRIPTION:This race takes place in a region adjacent to the majestic Great Lakes—a pristine\, forest getaway in Canada’s cottage country. \n\nWe are excited to host the 2018 Subaru IRONMAN 70.3 Muskoka at the gorgeous Canada Summit Centre in Historic Downtown Huntsville. The beautiful Canada Summit Centre was renovated and expanded for the 2010 G8 Summit. The Canada Summit Centre was formerly the host location for the Subaru 5150 Muskoka triathlon and Subaru Muskoka Chase Triathlon. \nThe course features a 1.2-mile\, one-loop swim in the scenic Fairy Lake. The swim start is just 500m from the transition zone. The 56-mile bike course circles Lake of Bays\, passing through the small communities of Dwight\, Dorset\, and Baysville. The 13.1-mile run will take you through Historic Downtown Huntsville and finishing at the gorgeous Canada Summit Centre. \nThere’s an amazing amount of recreation options in this recreational hub of Eastern Canada. Visit a museum\, hike a pristine trail\, star gaze\, relax in front of bonfire\, swim or fish in sparkling waters\, sip local wine or beer on a dock\, get up close and personal with wildlife\, pamper yourself at a spa\, or enjoy one of the many events and festivals that reflect Muskoka’s charm. The region truly has something for everyone\, both athletes and spectators alike.

You do not need to enter: we know who you are!\nTriathlon Club Participation: This challenges triathlon clubs to participate in a team-building exercise. It can also serve as a high intensity training day right in the heart of triathlon country on a scenic and very quiet course.  The club with the most members participating (other than TriMuskoka) takes home the trophy!\nChampionship Team Score: This challenge adds the four best placings in four distinct age/gender categories in the Short Course Classic.\n\nIf a team has a 1st place\, two 2nd places\, and one 4th place\, this total score would be 9\nLowest team score takes home the trophy!

The lucky Teams that are chosen & receive an invitation to compete will be from around the globe. \nOver 25 High School Teams in total\, teams of 6 will compete for a chance to win the Ultimate Bonus for their team. The Top 3 Teams are all eligible for a Cash Prize; which will help to accelerate their team to future successes. \nHigh Schools from the Trillium Lakelands District School Board and the Near North District School Board; will play a key role\, competing\, hosting and supporting the Expo. \nSponsors & Teams are encouraged to register now to participate in the event. DESCRIPTION:WHO IS READY FOR SOME MID WINTER FUN THAT WILL CHASE AWAY THOSE FEBRUARY BLAHS?\nAs a way of inspiring and engaging the community in physical activity\, and a sport that is so central to our region\, TriMuskoka will be hosting the 2nd annual Winter Indoor Triathlon Classic that promises to be as much fun as it will be challenging for individuals of all abilities. \nThe three legs of the Winter Classic are short enough that people will be able to complete the race and be just long enough that participants will be proud of their accomplishments.  Think of this event as that much needed mid-winter carrot to keep yourself active over the course of the winter\, so that when spring rolls around\, you are rip roaring ready to go for what activities lie ahead of you. \nThe event focusses on creating a fun and memorable event experience that makes you wanting to provide participants with a challenge\, and will leave them with a tremendous sense of accomplishment when they are done. \n\nWHAT IS THE FORMAT OF THE TRIMUSKOKA INDOOR TRIATHLON WINTER CLASSIC\nThe triathlon will consist of: \n\nSwim: A 15 minute swim in a 25m pool (two people per lane)\nBike: A 15 minute bike on a stationary bike\nRun: A 15 minute run or walk around the indoor track\, with a couple of stair segments to add some Muskoka hills into the event\n\n\nThe Scoring System:  Race volunteers record the total distance covered during your swim\, bike and run. The more distance you cover\, the higher your score.  The higher your score\, the closer you are to the podium!\n\nEach of the legs will be separated by a 5 minute transition period that will give you time to change (if required) and make your way to the next leg of the event. \nAfter the Winter Classic\, refreshments and a snack will be provided to participants along with their finishers swag! \n\nWHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE EVENT\nHold on…what about the prizes\, trophies\, and celebrations?  Well\, given that this is a fun event\, the fun will continue on into the afternoon with an afternoon at Camp Tawingo. At Camp Tawingo\, participants and their families will be able to enjoy some great outdoor winter activities including tubing and sledding down the infamous Tawingo hill\, broomball\, cross country skiing\, snowshoeing\, campfires with marshmallows and hot chocolate\, and a lot more. \n\nREGISTER HERE

SUMMARY:Ontario Tankard
DESCRIPTION:MEN’S RECHARGE WITH MILK TANKARD\nThe Ontario Tankard is the annual event that will determine the Southern Ontario Men’s Provincial Curling Champion. The winner of the 2018 Recharge with Milk Men’s Tankard will represent Team Ontario at the Tim Hortons Brier in Regina Saskatchewan\, March 3-11\, 2018. \nThe 2018 Tankard will take place at the Canada Summit Centre in Huntsville\, Ontario from January 31st to February 4th 2018. There will be 12 teams from across southern Ontario compete in the Tankard.  Qualifying teams each year are decided through 4 regional qualifiers\, 2 provincial qualifiers\, and a challenge round. \nWith the addition of 2 more teams to the Tankard this year the format will change.  Final draw schedule and format will be announced soon.  Stay tuned!  However the finals will remain the same with the top four teams making the playoffs\, in which the page playoff system will be used.
