From street theatre\, to music\, to sculpture\, to film\, and interactive exhibits\, there is something for everyone\, and many ways to join in the fun.  Come explore\, discover\, debate\, create and participate.  No experience necessary\, just a desire to stay up late and play! \nNuit Blanche North is presented in partnership by the Huntsville Festival of the Arts and Edge of the Woods Theatre.  The goal of the event is to present fun\, engaging and accessible works of art\, and to support the local economy by bringing visitors downtown\, and providing opportunities for local artists to create and present their work.

DESCRIPTION:DOCKFEST 2018\n\nThe Rotary Club of Huntsville and signature sponsor Pipefusion Services Inc./NyDock.com are pleased to present the 6th annual Rotary DockFest. \nThe event takes place Saturday\, July 7\, 2018\, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. along Huntsville’s historic downtown waterfront. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nFUN FOR EVERYONE\n\nThe event will have something for everyone\, so bring your friends and the whole family. There will be a Rotary Food Court\, featuring Bullocks all day bacon on a bun\, Henriettas Pine Bakery\, Farmer’s Daughter\, the Algonquin Café and more. Returning is Moose Delaney’s beer tent and also returning is the Huntsville Festival/Camp Tawingo Art Splash arts and crafts event for the whole family. \nWith guaranteed good weather this will be a perfect atmosphere for a day of fun and excitement along Huntsville’s waterfront. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nDETAILS AT A GLANCE\n\nThe parade of specially decorated bathtubs will begin making its way down the Main Street at 11 a.m. At the same time\, in River Mill Park the children’s Art Splash event gets underway. It runs from 10am to 1pm. \nThe first of three Bathtub Derby heats begins at noon with bathtubs furiously racing through obstacles on the Muskoka River as they make their way to the finish line. Between races entertainment will be provided by the fly guy\, showing you just how crazy it can get on the water. \nAlso throughout the day raffle tickets will be available for a chance to win a NyDock floating picnic table with additional prizes from The Hunt House and East Side Marios. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nWHY A BATHTUB DERBY?\n\nIn 2013 the Rotary Club of Huntsville resurrected the original Bathtub Derby from the 1990’s under the name Rotary DockFest. Thousands of people attended the event in 2013 and a decision was made to turn Rotary DockFest into an annual event with proceeds alternating between local charities each year. \nFunds raised this year will go to support the Rotary Club’s commitment to support the installation of an inclusive playground at Huntsville Public School. Other funds will be used for local projects/groups in need\, throughout the community.

DESCRIPTION:Formerly known as “En Plein Air” – A 6-hour artwork masterpiece challenge is returning to downtown Huntsville! Off the Wall: En Plein Air Painting & Auction is being putting on by The Shutterbug Gallery in collaboration with the Group of Seven Festival. \nStaring at 11am on Thursday September 7th\, artists and area dignitaries are invited by organizers to grab a hand-crafted miniature canoe and some paint before choosing an outdoor location downtown to inspire their creations. Six hours later\, participants have to put down their brushes.  \nThe miniature canoes are then given a bit of drying time before they will go to display at an auction at 7pm. Join us at a red carpet soirée with cocktails and canapés\, at the Algonquin Theatre\, where you will have the unique opportunity to bid on these very special and unique hand-painted\, hand-crafted miniature replica canoes. The event is for the very worthy cause of local student art bursaries.  \nPrepare yourself for an evening of rich Huntsville and Algonquin culture!

DESCRIPTION:The 6th Annual Band on the Run running race will take place on Saturday\, June 10th\, in the heart of downtown Huntsville. There will be five race options available including the half-marathon\, the 10 km\, the 5km\, the 5km walking category\, and the kids race. It will also feature a kids-friendly\, licensed Post-Race Concert in River Mill Park\, downtown Huntsville from 2 PM to 6 PM.
