DESCRIPTION:Workplace Mental Health: How Managers Should Respond \nThis half‐day training solution is designed to improve mental health literacy and provide managers with practical tools and resources to be able to manage mental health issues in the workplace. The intent of the course is to enable managers to be proactive\, as well as reactive\, to staff mental health needs that may arise. \n  \nOverview \nWorkplace Mental Health: How Managers Should Respond\, is a half‐day instructor led training solution aimed at providing participants with the knowledge\, tools and techniques to be able to respond in real‐time to mental health issues in their workplace. The intent of the course is to enable managers to be proactive\, as well as reactive\, to staff mental health needs that may arise. \n  \nTopics covered include: \n\nRole of the Manager and Mental Health\nLaying the Foundation\nOpening the Lines of Communication\nResponding Effectively\nInternal and External Resources\nFramework to prepare for difficult conversations\n\nThis session is made possible in partnership with Re/Max Professionals North.

DESCRIPTION:Your Chamber\, in collaboration with Workplace Safety and Prevention Services\, is bringing you the first of two fantastic half-day seminars. \nSupervisor Responsibility and Due Diligence – \nFebruary 10th\, 2026 \n12:30pm to 4:30pm \nLight snacks will be served \nSupervisor Responsibilities & Due Diligence \nUnderstand your legal duties to protect the health and safety of workers\, your role as a leader and what it means to be duly diligent. The course is intended for new and experienced supervisors and others who have charge of a workplace or authority over workers including managers\, project managers\, team leaders and lead hands. \nThis solution is suitable for all WSPS sectors that are regulated by Ontario’s OH&S Act. \nTraining Overview \n\nSupervisors play a critical role in health and safety and so much more. Good supervisors help improve productivity\, protect employees and reduce risk. They also motivate their teams and create a positive workplace culture – all of which boost profit margins and shareholder returns. In short\, a well-trained supervisor is one of the best assets a company has.\nWith fines for individuals recently quadrupling to $100\,000 (up from $25\,000)\, it has never been a better time for supervisors to understand the critical role they play in protecting worker health and safety and the steps they need to take to demonstrate that they’ve been duly diligent.\nThis half-day\, online instructor-led course equips supervisors with the necessary knowledge to understand their legal duties\, their role as a leader and the concept of due diligence. Supervisors are provided with the knowledge and tools they need to be proactive in protecting worker health and safety and taking the necessary steps to demonstrate due diligence.
